Scholarships

Each year $1,000 grants will be awarded to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens graduating from U.S. accredited schools, and plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually will be at the discretion of the United States JCI Senate Foundation. They must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of their choice.

The Missouri JCI Senate scholarships are highly selective based on not only academics but also special emphasis for demonstrating leadership aptitude for the future. While we receive approximately 400 applications, we strongly encourage all graduating seniors to apply by January 15, 2016.

Students can access the application at:  Scholarship Application

NOTE: When submitting your application, PLEASE follow the instructions completely.

Completed applications MUST be mailed to:

2012-2013 Scholarship Winners:

Ashley Cartee

from Jefferson City, MO - Jefferson City High School

I would like to give a sincere thanks to the Missouri JCI Senate for honoring me with this scholarship. The senate has been such a big part of my life growing up. As a kid I was always working with senators at events such as Access Day at the Missouri State Fair. I have become very close with these people, almost like a second family which is a great feeling to have. I will use this money to further my education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City MO where I will be double majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology. After college I hope to either become a Kindergarten teacher or a counselor. During my high school years I was involved in the marching band, jazz band and the concert band. I was also co captain of my softball team the past two years. I was part of National Honor Society grade 10-12, and in the senior mentoring program.

Alexander Hudson

from Washington, MO - Washington High School

I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the Missouri JCI Senate for their generosity. It is truly an honor to have been affiliated with the Missouri Jaycees and now the MOJCI Senate. I have set strong goals for my secondary education, and it is exciting to have the support of all of you to help these goals become reality. Thank you for believing in me! ~ Alexander Hudson

Alexander is a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Missouri. He is a four year member of the Washington HS Band Marching Blue Jays, a member of the MU Alpha Theta chapter, he has been inducted into the National Honor Society and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Greater St. Louis region of the Boy Scouts of America and is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Alex currently works as a manager at Cinema One Plus in Washington and intends on studying at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau with a major in biology and chemistry for pre-medicine.

Makenzie L. Smith

Thank you to the JCI Senate Foundation for selecting me as deserving for your scholarship.  I plan to attend Saint Louis University in the fall and major in Chemistry and minor in Spanish and then plan to become a doctor after that.  I feel very blessed and hope you know that I sincerely am thankful.  Please share with any and all.
